CFUW supports democracy, sponsors all candidates meeting in Perth, Tay Valley

**UPDATE ON PERTH MEETING**

There has been a slight change to the virtual format for the Perth All Candidates meeting: Cogeco will be broadcasting live to its television station YourTV (channel 700/100) as well as recording the event. However, YourTV is available only to Cogeco subscribers so the video will be posted on YouTube for everyone within approximately 48 hours. Additionally, Lake 88.1 will be broadcasting the meeting live

For the upcoming Municipal Elections, some members of the Social Justice Committee are collaborating with local agencies to hold All Candidates Meetings in September and October, and are hoping to focus, amongst other priorities, on the plans that each candidate is committed to with regards to affordable housing, homelessness, and food insecurities.

The All Candidates Meeting for Tay Valley will be on September 28th and will be held at the Glen Tay Public School, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (doors open 5 p.m.). The Perth All Candidates Meeting will be on October 3rd at the Perth Legion., doors open 6:30 p.m. and meeting runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Masks are required for in-person attendance. If you wish to attend remotely via Zoom, or for more information, contact PerthACM@gmail.com.
