From Mia, studying Nursing at Nippissing University

I just started my first placement this week. I am assigned to the dementia unit, and it might just be my new favourite place to spend time. There are so many new learning opportunities at the North Bay Hospital here. I look forward to the career path that I have chosen because there are always new learning opportunities.

From Olivia, studying Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Western Ontario

School has been going well, and I'm in the final stretch with only six months left - it's both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. During the fall semester, I had a placement at a rehab hospital in London, where I supported a variety of adult patient populations. This included individuals with swallowing disorders, cognitive difficulties, augmentative and alternative communication users, and more.

From

Abbey, studying Fitness and Health Promotion at St. Lawrence College

My First semester has been very interesting, challenging and rewarding. I am loving my program and there are so many different learning opportunities that I have been able to take advantage of throughout my courses. My passion for fitness and health is increasing everyday as I learn how adaptable and intricate the human body is. I am growing as a person and in my studies away from home. Your reward has been a blessing on my journey to college and I appreciate everything you have done for me.

From Bryanne, studying Social Service Work at Algonquin College

The thought of graduating this year is both exciting and a bit sad. I've grown quite attached to my classmates and professors. It's heartwarming to hear some of my professors say that we are no longer just their students but their colleagues.
