About The Event
Rosemary McCarney has crossed border after border in a career that has taken her to 100 countries and spanned leadership positions in law, business, academia, the not-for-profit sector, and diplomacy.
A passionate advocate for human rights and consensus building, Rosemary will talk about how we can overcome the institutional, political, economic, and social borders that crisscross our world today and relate how we can expand our own boundaries to meet the challenges before us.
Rosemary became CEO of Plan Canada International in 2005. In 2015 she was appointed as Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. She is currently the James Coutts Scholar in International Relations at Trinity College, University of Toronto.
