Please join us for an electrifying evening of learning and discussion about electric vehicles. Are you thinking of buying an EV, but are hesitant? Are there enough chargers in place? Is battery range sufficient for your travel needs? What about EVs in winter and how do they perform in eastern Ont?

About The Event
Our main speaker will be Mitchell House who works for the City of Ottawa's Climate Change and Resiliency unit, managing projects that enable residents to purchase personal electric vehicles and support the electrification of the City of Ottawa's corporate vehicles. He is also a member of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa and has owned an electric vehicle for the last 6 years.He will be joined by three local panelists who have experience driving evs: Rob Rainer, Tay Valley Reeve and owner of a 2019 Chevy Bolt since September 2019; he and his wife have to date driven over 65,000 kilometres without burning an ounce of gasoline; Susan Brandum,  co-founder and a Director of the three-year-old Climate Network Lanark and proud owner of a Hyundai Ioniq 5; and Larry House, a local EV owner who went on the adventure of driving from Ontario to the east coast in an EV by himself.
