About The Event

On Earth Day, CFUW Perth & District invites you to join us at our April general meeting to hear Don Johnston, past president of the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust speak on the importance of wetlands and preserving biodiversity in the region.
A retired architect, Don will speak to us about wetlands, their environmental importance and how to protect these vitally important places for our present and our future. The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust presently protects 13 properties. Eight of these properties are presently open for the public to enjoy. Five properties are currently closed to protect vulnerable environments.
Learn about wetlands, why we need them, and what each of us can do to protect them.
This is a hybrid meeting, please join us in person at the Royal Canadian Legion or via ZOOM. You may register HERE
