Members and their spouses or partners meet once per month at each other’s homes for either an appetizer/grazing get together or a sit down meal, with each participant contributing one dish and supplying their own beverages. Dress is informal and interesting conversations are guaranteed.
The home qualifies if it can accommodate between 6-40 guests. There are times when it becomes necessary to host dinners the very same night simultaneously to have room for all those who want to attend.
Couples as well as singles are welcome to join.
As the unpleasant weather approaches, one sure way to avoid cabin fever is the tried and true pastime of working on jigsaw puzzles. Most of us remember those days when we were kids and it was too cold or rainy to go outside. We didn’t have gameboys, Netflix or the internet. We spent hours at our kitchen or dining room tables putting together puzzles, usually with our families. Sometimes we did them in one sitting or if the puzzle had a lot of pieces, it could take days. It was fun and often challenging, certainly addictive. There are those of us who have never given up doing puzzles. Some of us have been reintroduced to them recently over the past 2 ½ years. Puzzles will be available from Mary Rothfel's shed.
Are you already in the process of learning Spanish in your own way whether online, a formal class or already have Spanish but would like to practice and have some fun speaking Spanish together in a casual setting in a members home. Join this new Spanish Conversation Group! All levels are welcome.
The next time you travel to a Spanish speaking country, if you would like to be able to converse a bit with the local residents, then join us and Johana, our Spanish instructor, who is a native of Colombia. We do review grammar, but we speak in Spanish as much as possible, learning about traditions, and discussing current events, history and food, with Johana taking the lead. For the intermediate classes, those with some Spanish background are welcome. The cost is $17 per session. Classes will start on September 13, 2022 and are usually held twice per month. (Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 12noon). The venue will either be at a member’s house or via Zoom, depending on weather and COVID requirements.

1st & 3rd Thursday
10 am-12 pm
The purpose of this group is to meet with CFUW members to share their own varied backgrounds and experiences, as well as enjoy each other’s company in various types of venues and formats. This should appeal especially to new members as an opportunity to form friendships and to network to become “connected” to members of the Perth club.
The Brunch group will meet every 2nd Sunday of the month. If that Sunday is part of a long weekend, then the date may be moved to the Sunday prior.
The cost will be under $20.00. The group will carpool when appropriate. As some venues will have limited seating, this group is for members only. Details will be emailed in advance of each outing.
Not a potluck, not necessarily gourmet, definitely NOT takeout, but an old-fashioned sit-down at a beautifully set table to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal with pleasant company. If you love food, love to cook and have no one to do it for, let's share Sunday dinner together once a month. 6 people.
An advanced level hiking group meeting biweekly for challenging walks; dogs and partners welcome.
