Good Times & Giving Continues

We gathered December 8 for our annual Holiday dinner, and CFUW Perth & District members continue to help those in need.

Cash donations of more than $200 were raised for the CFUW Charitable Trust, a non-profit branch of CFUW that raises money to help women university graduates further their education. Half of that money will go directly to the 1989 École Polytechnique Commemorative Award, which commemorates the 14 women students murdered at the École Polytechnique in Montreal.

Our donation basket of toiletries and chocolates—collected for Cornerstone Landing and YAK Youth Services overflowed with items brought to Maximilians Restaurant.

There was lots of Christmas cheer, good food, great company, and a bit of glitter and bling and well, maybe even a dash of lipstick.

And then our donations -- see all those empty boxes?-- were turned into gift bags!
