Baking for Bikers a Success

ree

Once again we held a successful event at Last Duel Park. The Ottawa Bicycle Club had approximately 800 cyclists participating in the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour this year, which was about half the usual number of participants. Those that participated were very happy to see us at the park with our homemade baking, coffee & cold drinks. In fact we were told numerous times how much they appreciated us being there & that the thought of getting to Perth to enjoy a break at the park with homemade food & drinks kept them going (especially on

Sunday in the rain).

Thank you so much to the members who provided the baking, donations & worked along with our team Saturday & Sunday. We received a visit on Sunday from the mother of a girl who was a past recipient of one of our education awards. This Mom came with baking for our fundraiser. That was a very special moment & a perfect ending to a wonderful weekend spent in our beautiful community!
