Come and see what's possible when you have a big view of the world!

Updated: Oct 12, 2024

Rosemary McCarney has crossed border after border in a career that has taken her to 100 countries and spanned leadership positions in law, business, academia, the not-for-profit sector, and diplomacy.

A passionate advocate for human rights and consensus building, Rosemary will talk about how we can overcome the institutional, political, economic, and social borders that crisscross our world today and relate how we can expand our own boundaries to meet the challenges before us.

Rosemary became CEO of Plan Canada International in 2005. In 2015 she was appointed as Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. She is currently the James Coutts Scholar in International Relations at Trinity College, UToronto.

Join us on Monday October 21st at 6:30pm at the Perth Legion to hear Rosemary speak about her incredible career! Everyone is welcome, but youth are specifically encouraged to attend this free public event. Come and see what's possible when you have a big view of the world!
