Did you know that a Canadian woman dies of a heart attack every 22 minutes? When it comes to heart disease, women are under-studied, under-diagnosed, and under-treated. Risa Mallory is a retired psychotherapist who, as a result of a serious cardiovascular event, has become passionate about women's heart health advocacy. She believes that knowledge is power and that every person can impact their health through education, conversation and self-advocacy.
