Cradle to Grave: Exploring Green Burials

Join us to learn more about end-of-life options that honour your loved ones and the planet.

The CFUW Perth & District Environment and Climate Change Committee will conclude its year-long exploration of "Cradle to Grave" topics with a presentation on sustainable alternatives to non-environmental burial practices.


Featured Speaker: David Batchelor, a former board member of Perth's Elmwood Cemetery, will explain sustainable burial practices and the cemetery's approach to alternatives to traditional burials.






Following David's talk, Susan Brandum, a member of Climate Network Lanark, will provide an update on the progress Perth & District has made on reductions in greenhouse gas emissions over the last 5-7 years.


When: Monday, April 20, 2026

Time: Doors Open 6:30 p.m., talk with start at 6:45 p.m.

Where: Royal Canadian Legion, 26 Beckwith Street East, Perth
