Support for Summer Literacy Programs in Lanark County

This month, the Education, Literacy and the Arts Committee has been busy delivering cheques, each worth $500 to our local libraries to help them deliver literacy programs in the summer of 2023. The library programmers were happy to receive the funding early because it allows them to start planning their activities now. Cheques were presented to the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library, the Carleton Place Public Library, the Lanark Highlands Public Library, the Perth and District Union Library, the Rideau Lakes Public Library, and the Smiths Falls Public Library.
